Pattaya
As the curries waft through the air and an indian man lingers in my presence, I watch with a much needed beer all of the women for sale. Eating their boiled eggs from the vendor and auctioning themselves to less than attractive middle aged men. They are like pieces of meat on sale in a deli or rather cheese. Do you want provolone, cheddar, swiss, aged swiss…?

I arrived on Khoa San half expecting mayhem much like that shown to us in movies like The Beach or rumor mills from an unremembered source about the theft, drugs, sex, and other sundry things that happen there.
